Unloved, untouched, unkempt.
A victim of careless contempt.
Parentless, wealthless, worthless.
A tree who pleases can curse.
Untrimmed, ungroomed, it grew
Between the rocks it wriggled through
Unweeded, unwatered, unwanted,
Its rough bark and leaves were made.
Unloved, uncared for, it now stands
For the fruit they stretch their hands
They have forgotten what the wise man knows;
In the kempt and the ugly, the same life flows.
