Young Sun

A light
Bursting through the seams
Of his heart,
Bright and billowing beams
That he shut,
Tight behind the locks
Of his dread,
Deep within the pity
of his self.

A glow
Seeping through the cloak
Of his soul,
Whispering and mocking
The foul
With a dance and a twinkle
Of stories caught in the stars
Like dust in the light.

A ray,
Gentle yet ferocious,
Giving light as it scorches,
Warm and kind as it watches,
Humankind is in awe;
In the cradle of his soul,
A young sun is born!
